2. FREMEC, MEDIF & Notification Card

Usage of this needs to be updated, customised and codified online.

3. Prosthetics / Implants / Wearables security screening

Check security rules page for ETD instructions. Explore manufacturer travel certificate with relevant information similar to wheelchair tag?

4. Wheelchair at gate

Tell airlines to put in
COMPARTMENT 1 in the forward cargo hold area near the front door (valid for all aircraft barring the small ATRs) with the Delivery At Aircraft gate (DAA) manual cargo tag.

5. Power wheelchair rules

Consider investing in a wheelchair carrying case / crate that is waterproof, with both zip and velcro options for backup. Sturdy handles will make this easier to carry for ground handling personnel. Nitin Katre in Mumbai has made one for Dr. Navneet Wadhwa.

After affixing the Delivery At Aircraft (DAA) sticker, fill the wheelchair handling tag and tie prominently to your wheelchair.

A good practice for travellers is to customise the electric mobility aid form with photo of wheelchair marking locations where to carry and fold and how to disconnect joystick. Read this for more useful air travel guidance for wheelchair users by OTs.

For larger power wheelchairs (in the absence of wheelchair travel insurance in India) encourage airlines to fabricate a Power Wheelchair carrying case like a Unit Loading Device (ULD) on the lines of the example in this video.

It's always good to check aircraft cargo hold door dimensions beforehand especially for partially folded wheelchairs. Affixing 'right side up' arrow orientation stickers will guide handlers not to place your wheelchair sideways.

Also encourage wheelchair manufacturers to provide standard stickers for battery type and air travel guidance.
